PLEASE HELP! Dry transitioning hair!

I've been transitioning for 7 months. These past two weeks, I've been dealing with my transitioning hair directly for the first time.

I shampoo once or twice a month
Co-wash with Giovanni SAS or Shea Moisture African Soap condish
Deep condish every 2 weeks with Giovanni SAS
After I add Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque to soaking wet hair...it remains moisturized throughout the whole day but then the next day it's soooo dry!

I'm so frustrated and I'm freaking out

You probably need to apply a moisturizer daily. I only transitioned for 6 months, but I had to use some type of hair lotion daily to keep the new growth soft and conditioned.

Thanks I think I just need to change the sheamoisture to a different moisturizer, because it's not doing anything for me that's lasting.
