Lustrasilk Olive Oil Empty Lustrasilk Olive Oil

Post by tatertotz 2nd August 2010, 4:39 am

For the longest time I've had a jar of this Lustrasilk Olive Oil and so far I've only used it as a sort of pre-poo or cream to help refresh my hair for bunning. I like the ingredients, smell, consistency etc. and I'd like to see if there is any way I can use it up. Sometimes overuse can cause build-up or a gross feeling on my hair, But I wanna know: Does anyone else use this product? If so, in what ways do you use it & what products do you pair it with??

I've also used this product. I used it as a leave in. Initially I was using too much, which resulted in a gross feeling. I found that using it sparingly and scrunching in a gel on top worked best for me.

I'd never used it as a pre-poo...but that's a thought Smile

Pre poo or mix it with some oils and melted shea butter for a DC! That's how I use it.

I've used it as a DC as well...just added a lil jojoba, coconut oil, and quite bit of honey (my hair loves honey!) and my hair would come out silk and shiny [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

@Heart2Heart : I keep hearing about using honey in DC's but what does the honey do? Does it moisturize hair?

@Tatertotz Yes, for me the honey is very moisturzing and adds super shine to my hair without it feel or looking greasy!
