Rapid hair growth
The only thing I have been doing to my hair is cowashing it daily and applying a shea butter pomade followed by kinky curly knot today and kinky curly curling custard. I am amazed at how fast it has grown since my bc on June 12. I just wanted to share my results so far.

Re: Rapid hair growth
lol thanks. i cowash with hello hydration, giovanni triple treat, or suave almond and shea butter. They all work well. As far as kinky curly line, i LOVEEEE it, mixed chicks leave in also gives great results.
as far as my avatar, yes it was done with rubber bands

Re: Rapid hair growth
thanks everyone for the compliments! no I don't take anything, I literally just cowash every day usually and then put shea butter pomade mixed with a lil oil but that is about it with either kinky curly curling custard, the styling spritz, or mixed chicks leave in. that is pretty much all i do

Re: Rapid hair growth
I do pretty much the same thing you are doing Candycane1224 except I add virgin coconut oil after the curly custard. Mine has grown a lot also but I am suffering from styles! It's not long enough to do a ponytail or much else and too long for a headband.
Re: Rapid hair growth
@sonance yeah my hair is at an awkward length too, there is not really much that i can do to it right now either lol

Re: Rapid hair growth
omg i want minds to growth this fast, but i just started going natural lol this is my first month. But someone random tht i spoke to tht i saw was growing her hair natural said it wasnt ok to wash your hair everyday even if it was co-washing. So she told me as a transitioner to wash my hair every 2 weeks. So what do u ladies think on here? I wash every 2 weeks and do my braid outd over night using cantu shea butter leave in conditioner and coconut oil and braid each section.

This is a pic of my hair taken Sept 28.
@Stephy0306:
Keep in mind that everyone's hair grows at different rates. The amount of growth I have gotten in the 4 months I've been natural isn't the typical amount for most people. My hair grows really fast. Also, cowashing every day may not be suitable for the lady you spoke to but that doesn't mean that this is the case for you. You really have to see what your hair wants/needs, the results really do vary from person to person. Honestly, most of the products people rave about on this site, I tend to not like. I know what works for me and I stick to it. I love the giovanni and mixed chicks lines. I have some kinky curly but I don't like the results on my hair now that it is longer. I think what you are doing is good, if that is what you have found to work for you. It really is trial and error until you find what works. For the first 2 months I was natural all I did was experiment with products. It wasn't until the last month and a half that I figured out the products that reacted best with my hair.

Re: Rapid hair growth
Update: I no longer use the same products. I use Giovanni tea tree triple treat, mixed chicks shampoo, giovanni smooth as silk conditioner, mixed chicks deep conditioner and mixed chicks leave in conditioner.

Wow candycane1224, that is awesome, girlfriend!! I am having my very first cut tomorrow since starting my transition, and I'm not sure what to do with my hair, but I love your style on your avatar pic, and might have to bite that when I go to my sister's b-day party next Friday...lol.
