Na they aren't check out the website for prices www.salonrevive.com also I like demetrius (who changed his name to Master ( something) lol) at salon essence right by oohs and aahs on u st. I think a rod set would be perfect since its curly and lasts a looong time.

There's also Urban Nature Styles Natural Hair Care Salon (http://www.urbannaturestyles.com/). They have a Silver Spring and a DC location. I've been to the DC location 2x. I've gotten a trim and my BC there by Mecole. This is the only natural hair salon that I've been to, so I don't have another spot to compare it to. I think that the basic price is $35.

I'm really liking this salon as well. Just did another BC and color at Salon Revive with Vonetta. I'm hoping to be a regular customer there. So far I think it's a nice salon. My appointment last Thursday went well. I was taken on time and didn't have a lot of waiting. Vonetta was very encouraging throughout my process and I was satisfied with my results. Definitely plan to return.

Re: District of Columbia
I visited Salon Revive last week to give my hair a much needed trim & start off the new year & the moptop maven's hair challenge off right! I saw Ayesha & she was very nice and she took very good care of my hair. The blow dryer & flat iron were not very hot so I'm not afraid of heat damage (my hair does pretty well with heat, though) and she was not scissor happy. She cut about 2 inches [I'm transitioning] so my hair [straight] is now about collarbone length. Few more inches until 100% natural :]

I also went to Urban Nature Styles on Georgia Ave in DC. Micole was great. She was very knowledgable and creative. The salon's prices are decent compared to other prices in the area and the quality of work is great. I would strongly suggest any natural to visit their salon.
