Before giving an answer, do me a favor, feel one strand of hair from three areas (crown, nape and temples). Let me know if they feel can be hardly felt or rough or in between. Also, what products do you LOVE now?

Hey Chrs!! I'm in need of a moisturizer. In all three areas my hair strands are slightly rough when I rub them. (What exactly does that mean also??)

I also would like a good low poo as well.

My hair LOVES Kinky Curly Knot Today, Yes To Cucumbers, and Bed Head Moisture Maniac, but the KCKT takes the cake out of the 3.

Hi lady! While I have not tried KCKT or YTC, I know their ingredients. I think the CJ Hibiscus Honey Butta LI, Coffee Coco Creme and Moisture Rehab would be great moisturizers. Their Deep Fix is a great DC.

My strands feel smooth in all three spots. The temple can be felt, the crown is in between, and the nape hairs can be hardly felt.

My hair loves Giovanni Conditioners, Yes to Cucumbers, Kiss My Face conditioners, all oils, KCKT, KCCC, and aloe vera gel.

I would recommend the following. They do offer samples.

Cleanser - Curl Assurance Gentle Cleansing Shampoo

Conditioners - Curl Assurance Daily (also use as LI; currently on sale on site) and/or Curl Assurance Smoothing Daily

Leave in - BeautiCurls (light leave in) and/or Hibiscus Honey Butta LI (heavy leave in)

Moisturizer – Coffee-Coco Curly Cream (light hold) and/or Curl Rehab Moisturizing Hair Treatment

Curl Definer - Aloe Fix (provides hold use with HHBLI or CCCC or alone)

DC - Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix and/or Moisture Rehab

First, your hair's strands should be smoothed out a bit before feeling them. Naturally curly hair is hard to assess. Past that, your hair may be coarse in texture. This means moisture is your friend, and protein may cause your hair to become hard and/or brittle. Check out livecurlylivefree.com's Curly Basics. Applying what I learned truly transformed my hair.

Thanks Chrs!! I will try some of those!! && you're totally on the money! My hair sucks up moisture but isn't to fond of alot of protein. Thanks for the website too I'm off to check it out.

I just read the article and I have coarse, overly porous hair. Feels good to know lol
