Hi

I'm Netta, you may know me from NP. I have been there since 2002, which is when I started my process to natural hair. I have been through many changes with my hair, my first bc was 2002. Since then I have b.c. worn my hair in braids,twists and barber cut afro. I always NETTA Herz

natural hair, and in 2006 decided to loc my hair, I learned much and was a pj. finally after leaving my hair alone it began to loc. NETTA Icon_cheers

I started my own locs with twist. I had beautiful locs. I cut my locs suddenly in 2009 after going through a stressfull relationship., I was depressed and a mess, my hair was stressed and my locs were thining at the root in my front. I big chopped again in 2009, and fell off the wagon, with texlaxers! I was insecure,antsy, and could not embracing my lovely napps. I wore wigs in the winter and even permed one time! and went to the beauty shop to have my hair cut and styled, I had not permed since 2002! It lasted for a week, then I decided to let it grow out and not perm my hair again. It wasn't healthy and was thinning. I did my last bc in December 2009. I was ready to be my natural self, all the way and this was the best thing I ever did! I am going all the way now, more encouraged! I left that relationship and my hair came back strong and healthy! I also gained back the weight I lost. I am in my 6th month natural as of July ,2010. I am retired, an artist,actress and gospel singer.I am a Hiv/Aids activist. I am also a long term Aids survivor. At 52, I am my best ever! look what God has done!! !! I recently found this site after some fellow NPs shared the link.I was in love ever since, I am a curly 4a,b and I have very thick hair, lurking for a while, I decided to join here last week. I love Curly Nikki ! I am so inspired now to grow long natural healthy hair. I had hair down my back as a child , natural healthy hair. I am happy to be NAPPY !
