Hair update... I am really trying to start focusing on retaining length with my hair so I have been experimenting with protective styling.. Here is the latest....

I have no problem with the lovely ladies and gentlemen who wear locs... But if I have one more person ask me if I am going to loc my hair I am going to S-C-R-E-A-M.... And the thing about it is that the same people ask me over and over depending on what I do with my hair.... <>

So I am coming up on my 1 anniversary for my big chop and I want to blow out and flat iron my hair... I have only had my hair "blown" out once to get my ends clipped in January. Can anybody in the forum recommend a truly good heat protectant? I would gladly appreciate your help... Thanks in advance...

I purchased a heat protectant from Sally's that work fine for my hair it is their brand (the name has slipped my mind). when i blow dried and flat ironed my hair to trim my ends. Some people use the CHI brand but it is a lil expensive for me for something i am only gonna use once or twice a year.

My one year is August 9th!!

Hey Buttercup I haven't used a heat protectant because I haven't done any heat styling. But here are a couple I've seen naturals using which you can check out: Silk Elements has one which is sold at Sally's and also Redken Extreme is sold at Ulta.

@Sweet and Lynn, we are all in the same place... I guess that video was right on time... So I may try that I am not sure now that I have found out that Kinky Curly is not stocked in Target!!! I may just use some of the products now that I don't have to pay for shipping.... AND I can use the knot today in my leave in mixture!!!

Hair: I am doing protective styles right now with two strand twist...

Here are a few pics of my daughter Jordyn.... She was sleeping over a family members house this weekend and called me because she wanted to get in the pool... She politely informed me that I needed to make another batch of that conditioner because she needed me to put it in her hair again when she got home... LOL.... Gotta love the kids.

Well I am coming off a Mini-Vacation... Traveled to Palm Springs, CA for the Party in Palm Springs... Don't know if you have ever heard of it but wheeewwww... Surely for the grown and sexy... Just wanted to show my "white party" look... My natural hair faired well in the pool and the sweat from dancing my socks off... LOL!!!
