Today my hair is soft n dry per usual. I haven't done anything to it yet. It's still defined some from my recent twistout. Still trying to figure out what to do...I are losted.. =[ But I'll do something..eventually............ hahahaa If and when I do I will edit this post with a pic of the ~~Hairdon't~~ Hairdo.

BAD NEWS!!! MY INTERNET SERVICE HAS BEEN INTERRUPTED BECAUSE I CAN'T PAY THE BILL. SO I WILL BE IRREGULAR AT BEST HERE AT CN UNTIL I CAN *TRY* TO BORROW THE MONEY OR SOMETHING TO GET IT ON. RIGHT NOW I'M USING THE OFFICE COMPUTER OF MY APT. COMPLEX. MY JOB SEARCH HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL FOR MONTHS NOW SO THAT'S WHY THE BILL IS NOT PAID. HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WILL COME THROUGH SOON...PRAY FOR ME.

In other bad news..I am a little under the weather..

So today I did NOTHING to my hair. It looks a mess. It's still soft though =] [bright side] I have no idea what I am going to do with it after my shower... I can't post a pic of w/e I do because of the above situation =[ Maybe I'll just wash it and twist it for a twistout..I am low energy for obvious reasons...but this too shall pass. ♥ AfroButtafly }|{ Star3

UPDATE:

Still no job...

And a major setback...after flat ironing my hair I suffered heat damage. Having never straightened natural hair before I admittedly probably wasn't cautious enough. It's been at least a month and some of my hair reverted fully while other parts partially. I have been doing protein treatments and they helped but still no full reversion. I'm currently rollersetting with small rollers to still get the effects of curly hair..but it's not the same. I'm not as upset as some ppl are in this situation, just kinda bummed. But I have the same spirit that allowed me to bc in the first place..it's just hair, it'll grow back. Yes I'll lose over 1 yr worth of progress but oh well. You live and you learn. I refuse to straighten my hair again..

It's funny because I was so afraid to flat iron but with some encouragement and seeing other women with natural hair straighten occasionally and revert in real life and online I finally gave in..boy do I regret it now. I may manage to save a pic to my flash drive from my home pc and transfer it to this office pc so you guys can see my rollerset and damaged hair. I looked up some options to help repair damage and aid in reversion and found protein, beer, and deep conditioning treatments as options. Joico K-Pak, and Aveda Damage Remedy were product suggestions. I of course have no money to buy either of those. But when I'm able I'll be trying them. *sigh* That is all my loves. Glad you're back. Sorry about your heat damage, but your second bc is too cute. I agree it's just hair and it will grow back. My main goal is to have healthy first. I would love to see how long it's going to grow, but I've got to get the hang of taking care of my natural hair so I will not lose length to damage ends!

Thank you KinkyNappyHappy!!! Healthy haircare is all about research and trial and error. The only thing you can do is learn from mistakes. I think it helps that I was not obsessed with length to begin with. It was actually fun to go back short again. Those pics are from march of this year..I haven't taken any recently of my naps..but I will do so soon. Smile

sorry bout the heat damage but at least ur not stuck on length n had no problems cuttin it all over, which is what i wouldve done anywayz! its probably more work in tryin to hide that lil straight piece!

i think u could give it a try to straighten again...one day! u've already learned that u need to take the necessary precautions.
