Rollerset on 4a/4b natural hair
Since I've been home for the summer my parents have been getting fed up with my natural hair. They miss that straight silky long hair and they aren't exactly huge fans of afros, coils or "kinky" hairstyles. So to make them shut up for the next few days I decided to my use of my dryer and the small sized rollers I have scattered around my room. I did my own rollerset for the first time ever! Despite the fact I spent like 2 hours in the bathroom rolling my hair ( I took a few breaks) I am loving the results! Even my mom, who has been the least accepting of my new short do likes it. I thought I'd share my results with you guys:

1. This is my 4a/4b hair in a dry state. It's very thick which is why I wasn't so sure if this roller set was going to work =/

I BC'd in January so I'm getting close to my 5 month mark

Thank you! I spritzed my hair with Jane Carter leave in Conditioner Spray and then I distributed Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker throughout my hair (this stuff is amazing). Then to get even coverage I coated each section I was rolling with Fantasia IC Hair Polisher- Heat Protector. The hair should be soaking wet when rolling to get the best results so I kept the spray bottle near.

After putting the rollers in I sat under the dryer for about an 1 1/2 hours.

Thank you so much for this post. It seems we have a similar texture and length. I've been wanting to try a rollerset. I think I will do one at my next wash.
