I love my hair!!
I just wanted to say that before I got started. I have been natural for almost 19 months and I love it. My first year was a bit of a challenge but now I think I am understanding my hair a little more.
The first year, I was clipping away more hair than I HAD!! I didn't notice any growth and I was getting discouraged. This year, I wanted to do things differently so I decided to protect my hair as much as possible. About a month ago, I got a young lady to twist my hair up and I kept that style for 2 weeks. It was a biggg, bigggg, push, but I could make it. I wish my hair at least once a week and it was driving me nuts to know that I had to wait another week to wash my hair! My scalp was on FYRE but once it got used to it, I was fine. I washed my hair and then twisted it up again. I rocked the twists for a week and then a twist out for another week. I was actually ok with wearing my twist another week. I only lasted a couple more days. My hair has benefited from this twice a month washing. It has grown! I am finally retaining length!
Who washes their hair every two weeks?

I'm on the 2 week twist, then wash schedule too. I've seen a little growth, but I'd like to see more, so I'm gonna keep a twisting

Re: GodsNaturalBeauti
Hey ladies!!
I made a few recipes on yesterday and had a blast!!
I made a flaxseed gel recipe and a leave-in conditioner that kimmaytube had on her video. Both of them turned out wonderfully!! I love flaxseed as a gel. It made my hair shiny and juicy and I loved the way my hair feels. It is a little slimy, but it does the job.
I attempted to post pictures but when I go through the process and I am ready to "send" the upload box is in the way and it does not move. I click on this box and it still doesnt move. I have to just "x" out and rewrite the message and not put any pictures. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but its not working..
Any suggestions??
Thanks ladies!!

When you are trying to post pics and you want to close the upload box, just click the box you used to open it again (the one with the picture and the disk on it), and it should close.
My Hair Story
My Hair Story:
I have always had LONG, THICK, COARSE HAIR. My hair always fell at my shoulders or APL. I grew up getting the infamous "PRESS N CURL" and then I was introduced to the Jheri Curl and later the Relaxer! I spent my entire Saturday getting my hair done and felt as though my hair was just "nappy" and hard to manage. After I got alopecia (due to a Jheri Curl) application, my mom decided to get me a relaxer. By that time, I was determined to keep up with the lye.....
The Breakage starts...so does the cutting....

A Good Trim (at least an inch)
I have enjoyed this journey so far. I wish I would have done it sooner. I am learning more about my hair everyday and its been a long journey. It will be 2 years in October and I have finally discovered a regimen. I use 98 percent natural products. The other 2 percent consist of gel and/or other products.
My favorite products are: Castor oil, EVOO, Aloe Vera Gel, Honey, Sweet Almond, Hemp Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin, Jojoba oil, Flaxseed Gel(homemade), Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Orange oil, Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizing Cream, Bee Mine Hair Growth Serum, Bee Mine Shampoo Bar, Karess Krafters Hemp Hairdressing, Oyin Handmade product line, Qhemet Biologics Hair line,Black soap, Suave Clarifying Shampoo, and the list goes on and on!!!
I hope my natural hair story helps someone. If you have any questions, please contact me.
