Re: Mz. CiCi
I'm so happy it happened now instead of later! If I had a longer length and had to cut it, I'd cry! I'd love to use Miss Jessie's but sadly....the broke college student budget doesn't allow it unless I skip my Chinese for a while (no can do! Sorry BabyLove!).priceless wrote:Hey chica
I had heat damage too in the begining of my process. I looked at it like its hair and as long as i keep it heathly it will grow back. I figured I rather it be earlier to find it then later. I have found that i have made mistakes in this process in the begining but i will bounce back.
I used miss jessie's rapid recovery for after i henned but i really didn't like it that much. jessiecurl weekly deep conditioner my cousin used and said it works wonders. I have to wait to funds come in to buy the jessiecurl so, i have not tired it myself. but she says curly nikki used it and reviewed it on naturallycurl.com.

I use Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Conditioner, its a deep conditioner and it works very well. My hair always feels so soft and moisturized after I use it. They have it in little packs so you can try it and see if you like it.
Will that work for after henna use? That's the main reason I'm looking for it
I usually don't deep condition after henna since henna is a deep deep conditioner, I do rinse with a light conditioner to help get the henna rinsed out
Re: Mz. CiCi
& that keeps the hair from drying out? I'm really nervous about my hair drying out. Don't want any more damage to BabyLoveCocoEuro wrote:Mz. CiCi wrote:Hi QuietButterfly!QuietButterfly wrote:Hey Mz. CiCi!!

Ok. I think I'm gonna try it soon. I'm suffering hair envy for my sis who hasn't had a relaxer in a few months and has the most gorgeous hair but doesn't wanna be naturalCocoEuro wrote:and I usually do a leave-in after with Hello Hydraton!!

So BabyLove and I, my niece & parents are going to the beach tomorrow! *yay!!!* I think I'm going to flat twist it in the front and puff the back just to keep it simple. Also, I'm gonna redo the braid & two strand twist/twist out style. It was BANGING!

Just stoppin to say hello
I'm new to the natural and the CN community. I haven't BC'd but I'm working up my courage to do it and reading post by ladies like you are helping me do so.

Thank u for the comment! I definitely didn't see this til today but on the curly teens page, there's a college curlies section.
Ok so I ended up twisting my hair for the beach and right now I'm rocking mini twists....I need a break from two strand twists! But my fro is so cute after twist outs
In other news, if I want my hair to come down instead of a big fro, should I flat twist it and wear a twist out?
Re: Mz. CiCi
Wooow I haven't updated in a min! My hair is currently bout to undergo more twists after being out of them for about a week. & I found my hair loves Pantene Curls which after kinda mixed reviews, I was scared to use.

Hola big sis!Lynnieluve wrote:Hey Mz CiCi!
So since I'm trying to be more current with my regimen, I guess I should mention I've been twisting & I've seen length but b/c I get bored easily, I've beens straightening. *Bad Cici!* But the good news is, I've gotten my winter/spring hair care under control & hopefully when the summer hits, only one product will change.
Every Friday
Take down twists & wear either a twist out or 2 big French braids
Every Saturday
Cowash with Suave conditioner (whatever I have) w/ my hair in 4 sections
Use Pantene Nature Fusion to "wash"
Detangle in shower
Use Pantene Curls deep treatment
Blot with a t shirt, spray in Jane Carter Leave In in each section
Twist hair using shea butter on ends. Oil scalp with Doo Gro oil
Every 1st Saturday
Shampoo with Pantene Curls Shampoo & follow the rest of the regimen
We'll see how it goes until June. Well the shampoo will be gone by then & I'll switch back to no poo in March or so.
