Eco-Styler Gel + Leave-in
Hey Ladies,
So, I regularly use Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in, and I actually like it a lot but I recently started using Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel and as many of you know, it causes lil' white clumps when used together...boooooo!
So, I need another leave-in that will mix well with the gel and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I heard something about carefree curl? not sure...Oh! I like this hawaiian somethin' too (forgot the name..I wonder if that'll mix [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ).
Ne who..recommend away!

Not sure what an arm and a leg is for you but I used Aubrey Organics Island Naturals mixed with Honeysuckle Rose with no problems. Both are about $8-9 each. Many get them from local health food stores or vitacost.com.

I used Herbal Essence Hello Hydration this morning with the pink eco-styler and no white clumps.

have you been to the blog it'sjusthair she has this lil test on there that she does to determine whether or not the gel and leave in you work. You just mix a little of the two in your hand. If it gets creamy and smooth they'll probably work well together, but if you get this cottage cheese like substance in your hand then you might wanna step away from that combo or settle for clumps.

well i just used both of them today for the first time, and i didnt get clumps. i did it in this order: leave in, coconut oil, gel/twist hair into curls, pat down with shea butter oil.

Re: Eco-Styler Gel + Leave-in
I kind of have a similar issue. I did a twist out using Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in and MJ Curly Pudding...and now I have some white flakes. So I'm not sure if its the Cantu or MJ that is the culprit...but I'm guessing that maybe I should try a different leave-in next time.
Anyone had similar issues? I've been hearing about Giovanni Direct Leave-In and wanted to try that anyway, but I just hope I don't get similar results.
Other than that I love my twist out! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I was looking at you tube videos yesterday and some one (can't think of her name) but she said that cantu leave in should be used alone. I had the same problem with the eco styling gel but it makes nice twist outs.

I use gobs of hello hydration and the krystal clear eco-styler gel. no flakes and no build up!
Re: Eco-Styler Gel + Leave-in
I tried the ecostyler (green) with TJ Nourish Spa. I didn't have any flakes BUT it was too hard for my liking. My puff in my avatar is the result of the ecostyler. It does provide curl definition but I need it to be softer.
