Re: BlondeByDesire's Bella - Love Being Natural
Good Morning Ladies,
I was thinking about all the itchyness going on with our scalps and whatnot - could it be our water? Do you have hard water? Well I don't know if I do or not. But I'm going to invest in a filtered showerhead. This may also help with my DH's dry skin. What do you think?
Chircoro (sp?) On Amazon recommends this on her list for healthy natural hair.

Good morning!!
Mississippi has soft water so I know that's not what's causing my itchy scalp. Your hair grease from MHC is not working? I was thinking about giving it a try.
Have a good day!!

I don't know re: itchiness, I've been spraying it with bottled water and it's still itching, it started last night. I'm almost hitting a week since washing it and it's been all twisted up. I find myself patting my head like I did when it was around that time to get a relaxer back in the day (LOL). My hair is usually fine right after I wash it, and I haven't been using a lot of product this past week so I don't think it's buildup. I'm kinda hoping it means it's growing

I recently purchased a filtered showerhead for the same reason. I can't really tell if it is helping because I have also changed my product line and begun to shampoo once a week with something mild. As much as it may help soften my hair, the co-washing only method doesn't work for my scalp. As a result, I seem to have curtailed the itchy scalp syndrome.
My sister also believes as Muz that sometimes itchy scalp is an indication of growth. HTH.

No, it helps to control it - also if I do it beforehand before the itchyness starts it's much better and follow up every two days or so. But I like it alot.

Thanks Muz,
Sometimes I start itching right after a wash day - and I know my scalp is clean. I just don't get it. I use the same products. I'm gonna try the water filter.

Re: BlondeByDesire's Bella - Love Being Natural
the itchness might also be from all this pollen and dirty air hittin our scalps since we got it parted in twist thats the scientist in me talkin!! But icant think of anything else becuz i know my scalp n hair is clean and i spritz it w/aloe gro or just water mixed w/eucalyptus, peppermint, sage n rosemary and it only relieves it for a minute!
but i DEFINITELY been researching shower head filters and seen some in bed, bath n beyond too. i plan to get one for my home (along wit a steam dryer for my hair). i've heard it does make a difference in hair and skin.
i think my head itches reading everyone elses itchy story...EEEK!!

Good afternoon lady,
Hmmm, I will test my water. I do not think hard water is in my state but I will test my water.
