Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
Unfortunately, the area I live in now must not be "ethnic" enough, because the Target closest to me does not carry her products.
Does anyone know if they sell the 2 oz sizes are can you only buy the vats that are about $50?

Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
I want my hair to be healthy and all the rest, but I can't see spending $50 on a single hair product. Naw, strike that. Who am I kidding. If it's really that great, I'll get it plus some. So yep, I'll be at Target after work picking up a jar. I am a little peeved tho, that this costs about what an outfit does.

I Went to the Target in my area last nigt and to my disappointment they had not even gotten their shipment in. I'm really interested in how much of a mark up they are going to do or mark down for that matter.

Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
I know that if it isn't available in the store, they do have it on target's website as well, but I guess you might as well order it from their website if you do that. It is a little expensive but from what I hear it is worth it.
Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
They hadn't added the products to the shelves yet as of late last week. They(Miss Jessies, Jane Carters, Curls, and shea moisture) were all on endcaps.

My Target in Philly didn't have much of a selection. I was hoping to pick up some of the travel sizes before I shell out the big bucks for the larger sizes. Guess I'll scoop the MJ value pack online somewhere. It includes a bunch of travel sizes so you can decide what you like (~$60) before you jump out there.

My area is also not "ethnic enough (high Asian population) or not the right ethnic population[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I keep going in there everyother day like Miss Jessies Products or Curls Products are gonna show up on the shelf. According to their website the closest Target that carries Miss Jessie's is about 15 miles away. I might as well purchase the sample online on their website first before paying $50 for a hair product.

Miss Jessie's
.
THOUGHTS ON THE “MISS JESSIE’S” PRODUCTS:
1)The “MISS JESSIE’S” products USE MINERAL OIL
& PETROLATUM (both of which damage both
hair & skin) AS two of the KEY INGREDIENTS
2) Titi & Miko – THE OWNER’S of the “Miss Jessie’s”
product line (AND most of THE CLIENTS they choose
to photograph) -- achieve their hair-styles because
they USE what they call a ”Silkener”' (which is simply
a mild relaxer / texturizer & made of CHEMICALS).
3) The same results can be achieved for a fraction of
the cost by going to a store and purchasing / applying
the same dangerous (ex. relaxer / texturizer) as well
as damaging (ex. mineral oil / petrolatum) products.
4) People should save their money (and hair) by avoiding
the cheaply-made / expensively-sold products (such as
the ”Miss Jessie’s” line) that contain worthless and
harmful ingredients such as mineral oil / petrolatum
and / or are “chemically-dependent” to achieve results.

Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
AP...thanks for that. I knew their products contained petroleum and mineral oil so I really couldn't understand what the fuss was about. Why pay so much money for vaseline and mineral oil? Seems a little silly to me. I would rather pay that kind of money for products that I know are going to fortify and enhance my hair, not lock out all the moisture I try to infuse into it.... Miss Jessie's simply 'misses the mark' =(
.
You are welcomed and you make a very good point.
Also, a lot of people buy the 'Miss Jessie's' product line
because they see the alleged 'results' on the website
and on the Owners during interviews, etc. -- but
-- what most people often do not know is that ...
The Owners of the 'Miss Jessie's' product line appear to
be no more inclined to reveal that their own hair (and
that of the hair of the majority of the clients who have
photos posted on their website) has been "silkened"
(i.e. chemically-processed) than they are to admit that
two (2) of the main ingredients contained in their hair
products are 'mineral oil' ("liquidum parrafinum") and
petrolatum -- and actually try to downplay both facts.
Meanwhile many women who have been blessed with very
"generously-textured" hair found all over both the US and
Canada continue to unwittingly dole out a ton of money
for a product which is essentially the equivalent of a
microwaved-jar of ‘Blue Magic Hair Dressing’ mixed-in
with a big 'ole bottle of ‘Suave Instant Conditioner'.
Well -- OK -- 'maybe' I am exaggerating a tad bit
about the Blue Magic/Suave mixture thing -- but --
I still hope that both of our points are well taken.

Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
It's just a product, if it works for you then by all means use it. I don't get into the hype of what's in a product. If my hair loves it regardless of the ingredients then I will continue to use it. The only problem I have with Miss Jessie's is that they are way overpriced. The prices are ridiculous. If I don't get it in a swap then I'm not buying it.

Re: MISS JESSIE'S PRODUCTS AT TARGET
Tmochava...I hear you. I think a lot of people view it from your perspective as well. For me, what's in a product is important bc it's going in my hair. Alot of things work well, but that doesnt necessarily mean they're good for your hair. My main focus is that my hair is healthy more than being pretty. That's my issue with MJ line in addition to the exorbitant cost. But to each his own. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
