Best Dryer?
Ok so I want to make an effort to deep condition with heat more and just take things to the next level. So I'm looking at hood dryers. Tell me what yall like and WHY. Hood or bonnet? Table top or rolling?

I have a Pibbs 514 and it's the best hair investment I've made and the most expensive thus far. Before I had a Lazy Daisy tabletop dryer - it did the job but took forever plus the uncomfortableness of it all.
I got my Pibbs 514 - 2 years ago through a deal on LHCF for $239 (i believe). I simply love it. The hoods adjusts, it rolls around, you can adjust the temperaure setting and set your time on it. It dries really fast and quick. If it was to break or die on me - I would invest in another one.
But now I want a steamer ...

Re: Best Dryer?
@BBD, I just did a search on it. With rollers on my head, the circumference area of my head was likely 4"-5". Will the Pibbs 514 accommodate it? TIA
Re: Best Dryer?
I have used the large purple rollers with it ... with no problem.

Re: Best Dryer?
I have (had) both the Gold N' Hot hood and bonnet dryer. I so love the bonnet dryer that I gave my "going to Cosmetology school" sister the hood dryer. I love the flexibility. I usually lay across my bed and read while using the bonnet dryer.
My affair with the bonnet dryer started in high school when my Paternal Grandmother gifted me with one. It lasted until after college and then I invested in a Dazey - unfortunately for Dazey the motors burn out so they sent me about four replacements. Then, I had the hardest time finding a bonnet dryer until about three years ago. My Gold N Hot cost about $40 at a beauty supply shop and I love it. Now, I only use it for about 30 minutes, then I air dry my hair but I have used it for up to 3 hours (when I had long hair).
Sorry I rambled. Here is my bonnet dryer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00176L65O/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002NGMENA&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0JDZ3Q8GCFHZBPH79STP

Re: Best Dryer?
I concur with the bonnet dryer option. I originally did my roller sets using the lazy hood dryer, but it became a big hassle to keep when I decided to move to NYC. I opted instead to purchase a Gold and Hot bonnet attachment that I used with a regular hand blow dryer. The bonnet attachment is the most economical choice and it produces the same results as a hood dryer. It is more comfortable to lay in bed while watching tv with the bonnet attachment, the only downfall is that unless you're doing a roller set, it's hard to keep the bonnet secure around your head. Additionally, you may have to use something to keep the bonnet secure around the nozzle of your hand blow dryer.
All in all, it works for me, considering my styling regimen (flexi-rod and roller sets), space constraints, and budget.
Here's a look at the attachment if you're interested. http://www.amazon.com/Belson-Gold-Bonnet-Dryer-Attachment/dp/B000YC3VHS Other brands may work better.
