I am not new to having natural hair, but I want to know how do you trim split ends on natural hair? Do you have to use heat to make it straight then cut them? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

When I need to trim my ends I like style my hair in two strand twists or do a roller set. If I don't need an all around trim I will do the search and destroy method.

I lightly dust my ends in braids (in June) then once a year in December I do an even trim.

December trim: I flat iron my hair divide it in two and sweep it to the front. I place one of my long art metal rulers flat against my chest to do an even cut at length === then remove ruler to lightly "tinnie" trim the front hair in a slant between my fingers. //// \\\\ - It gives some shape/layer. When my hair gets longer I'll do an upside down pony tail trim/cut. Maybe I'll get this...CreaClip [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] (laughing because i know it'll end up in the back of my hair drawer)

I want to get a stylist to do the December trims but I'm "scur'd". [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
