Treadmill or Elliptical
I am going to get one but I don't know which one. I have used both and I like the workout I get from both but I am have a hard time deciding.
Any suggestions or comments?

I like both too. If I was buying one, I think I would get a treadmill.

I agree w/ Lynn, I would buy the treadmill. I burn a lot of calories increasing the incline

elliptical burns more calories and you can get a total body workout and your heart rate climbing in much less time...you can adjust resistance and incline...

I agree with @cutephantasm...I would go for the elliptical! You will get a total body workout, and also, I find that most people who get treadmills for their home usually get bored with it after a while! And on top of that...you can always get a walk/run in outside, and that's always better than a treadmill! Go for the elliptical!

Re: Treadmill or Elliptical
I burn more calories on the elliptical. After doing a two minute warm up and cool down at between 5.2 and 7 and six minutes at 10, I burn around 93 calories. Doing the same thing on a treadmill, I would likely burn 50 or fewer calories.
Re: Treadmill or Elliptical
The last thing I am looking to do is burn calories, I really just want to tone up and work on my cardio - I get winded way too fast because I am so out of shape.
Re: Treadmill or Elliptical
If you are trying to build up endurance and tone your body, I would suggest running on the treadmill. To me the elliptical machine is a good little workout, but it does nothing to build up your endurance. I used to use the elliptical machine and then I tried to start running and found that I was so out of shape! I ran out of breath so fast while trying to run; that showed me that I needed to hit the pavement (or a treadmill) and get my real workout on.
