Stop the Pineapple

I want my hair to look like more of Corrine Rae and less like Trace Ellis Ross. How do I stop my hair from doing the pineapple? I don't use heavy or thick products. How can I give my hair some height???

I get more height and volume from dry styling.

Does that mean I have to blow dry and flat iron my hair? My ends are really dry and wont curl. Any suggestions if I have to blow dry it???

No not at all. It just means styling when you hair is all the way dry opposed to wet or damp. You can spritz it lightly to aid with detangling but your hair should he mostly dry. See the difference below:
