*NaturallyNu*
Greetings! I'm Ms. NaturallyNu, first-timer for EVERYTHING! I've been relaxed as long as we all can remember against my own will. I know my hair was never meant to be straightened and tamed, culminating in touch-ups every 4 weeks for almost 14 yrs. Wow! Freshman year of college I decided that I could not afford to continue this "destruction", financially and mentally, and began a short transitioning period. A friend & I applied my last relaxer late-March 2009 (in-home which I had hardly ever done), I wore kinky twists for a short period throughout the summer and BC'd July 30, 2009 (I think lol). At 5 or so months post-bc I've mastered twistouts (but not twists ) and am currently exploring different protective styles (about to get my first wig, yay!). As a strugglin' college student I do not personally own a camera so I'll be doing photo updates as often as allowed. Welcome y'all and hey!
PICS!
In my relaxed, flat-iron happy high-schoolish days.

Hair Type: 4b for the most part
The only good thing I got out of X-Mas 09 was a gift set from Carol's Daughter from mama who had a texturizing adventure tonight but thats another story for another day. I think it included Black Vanilla Herbal Shampoo, BV Hair Smoothie, and Healthy Hair Butter. I was so excited when it came time for my weekly washing. I typically shampoo once or twice a month with whatever's laying around. So far I'm into the Hair Smoothie more than the Kinky Curly products I've used. It doesn't seem to leave as much buildup. I do kinda indulge in products and with KC you walk a fine line between just right and too much. I also think I've stumbled up on a way to wear my twists in public and for a longer length of time so yay! Way late on discovering the magic of a scarf and some pomade.

Welcome! Your sense of humor comes through in your posts .
I look forward to the pics when you can post them.
In addition, remember you can still post things about your hair or hair in general every day (M-F) to be entered into the weekly drawing. You do not have to post pictures here everyday for the drawing.
