Bad Experience with Cassia Empty Bad Experience with Cassia

Post by Danienyc 22nd February 2011, 1:32 am

I decided to try cassia a few days ago and I'm not at all pleased with the results. My hair actually feels less soft and stringy. I also have noticed that it gets crazy tangled. I have 3a hair and never had a problem with tangles, I can usually finger comb through my hair very easily, now I can't. I didn't notice any added shine.

Here is the mix I used:
9tbsp of Cassia
3tbsp of Coconut milk
2tbsp of honey
1tbsp of vatika oil

Has anyone ever had this experience before? Also, how long should it take for my hair to go back to normal?

I bet it was the coconut milk that caused the problems.

Thanks for the response Lynnieluve. Why do you think the coconut milk would have caused the problems?

It could be a combination of any of the additional products you added to the Cassia. My hair absolutely did not like the Vatika Oil for some reason; it got hard and and tangled.

@ajsimmons8! Omg! That sounds exactly like what I experienced. Maybe I should try again with a different mix. Any suggestions on what I should have in my mix?

The coconut milk and the vatika oil both are considered proteins. I plan to do my first cassia treatment in the next week or so. Here is what I plan to mix in it...

cassia
warm water
EVOO
honey
