Can you see your curl pattern?

My hairs are fine/medium, but i have a lot a lot of them so you can't see my curl pattern all at once, but i hope for that to change as it gets longer. I can feel it though and i can see it when my hair is in sections, but not when its all together O.0

Does anyone else have that?

it seems like you might be talking about seeing defined curls or "clump-age"... (when your curls clump together so the shape is more visible). my hair is a mixture of spirals and wavy hair, but my wavy hair is very frizzy, so when my hair is out all at once, you can't really the curl pattern. The only change i've seen from my BC till now (over a year later), is that with length and more "hang time" my ends become more defined (as long as i keep them moisturized). For the most part, i just accept it as apart of my hair texture tho--not easily defined

It's been 6 mos and I see curls at the front hairline (it's thinner there), and no where else. If I don't manipulate my hair w/two-strand twists I really don't have curls or waves. There is a maybe 1/4 inch wave pattern at the roots but the longer hair isn't curly; it isn't straight either. It's just THERE! I'm still learning about my hair. It's a process.

I read on some other post that one girl didnt even really notice her curl pattern until a year later. O_O well im almost 7 months in, and i think i want some clumping action, but not now. i guess when it gets chin length maybe.

I cut mine earlier this month and sometimes i can feel spirals in my hair. I can't see them because they're towards the back. I like that feeling so much lol. My hair is probably an inch long all over.

Yeah, when I part my hair, I see beautiful lil spirals. But if I just leave it there, it justs looks like a regular TWA. When I run my fingers through it, I feel whirls of curls... I just wish they showed on the outside.

A few are popping out in the front, but just a few... Man. BUT I have noticed, the more it grows the more my curls sprout out. (Just a few at a time though)...

I have 4a/4b hair equally spread through my head they clump together but when i part my hair especially in the back and middle i can see very well defined spirals

I defiantly can co-sign on being able to feel the pattern, but pictures not doing my hair justice. I guess it's like the grand canyon you've got to experience it in person to appreciate the true awesomeness of my hair Theres alot more going on than a twa action.

@Cheller: ahhaha. I believe that. after i cowashed the other day, I tried to take a picture of my 4a and my 4b was in the way.lmao.

@Creolebeauty: I definately know what you mean, but mostly all my 4a is in the back, and my 4b right in the front so its like front (25% 4a 75% 4b) and the back is vice versa . I feel like I want to but my eyes in the back of my head

Hey everyone, i'm fairly new to this forum but I can tell you what i've been doing to get my curls popping off. I transitioned for a couple of months and chopped the rest of the relaxer off a few weeks ago. It wasnt dramatic for me because i already had short hair and all the hair in the back was natural already. From the beginning my curls clumped together. when i cut the relaxer off of my sides in january I was a bit miffed because my the curls werent clumping together on the sides. Finally after a couple of weeks they came together....the same thing happened when i cut the relaxer off of the top of my hair a few weeks ago...its like my hair was in shock and the top was just a wavy mess. Now my curls are clumping together on top as well. In order for my head to not look like a frizz bucket I absolutely have to put a leave-in conditioner in my head. while this keeps my frizz to a minimum it doesnt totally eliminate the frizz and doesnt make my curls pop...thats where Kinky curling custard comes in....It took me about a month to figure out how to use it and get perfect results everytime....If you use too much you get a clumpy white mess(the trick is to use it very sparingly, rub it on your palms and just rake it through your hair) this works on my TWA long haired curlys may need to section and rake... its the only thing that gives me shine and definition without the crunchiness....I use it over kinky curly knot today. I've tried everything under the sun and after hundreds of dollars wasted its my tried and true!
