Any T-Mobile customers? Empty Any T-Mobile customers?

Post by Kittabug 9th February 2011, 8:17 pm

T-Mobile is giving away free phones to new customers and current customers that are qualified for an upgrade with a 2 yr contract this Fri and Sat Feb 11th and 12th. All phones are free but some are free after mail in rebate and require addtional features. This will only be available in T-Mobile owned retail stores...
Free is always good for me lol! Hope this is useful for some of you ladies!! woot!

Thanks, this will most definitely work. My contract is up and I've been debating about getting a new phone. Thanks Kittabug for the info! I totally missed that.

Sorry ladies! I'm just now seeing this!! Embarassed
@NaturallyPrecious- were you able to get a phone?
@Ambitious Tiff- April isn't too far so hopefully your phone will last until then! If there isn't a promo going when it's time for you to upgrade Walmart has the lowest prices on phones!!

I hope they do have some kind of promo. I am still trying to figure out what to get. I might just get a BB since I will have to have some sort of PDA or smartphone in Nursing school...

@Kittabug- no I didn't end up getting the phone. Reason being, I'm not really interested in an unlimited data plan, which is the only 'catch' so to speak. So I may just end up purchasing a phone (still deciding between a blackberry or mytouch) with the $10 data deal before it ends. To me it will come out cheaper to purchase a phone for $99 than get a free phone and have to pay the extra $30 for 2 years for service I'll barely use.

Anyone have any suggestions on phones. My son really wants me to get the mytouch, but I'm still attached to the QWERTY pad.

Thanks ladies

I'm attached to the Qwerty pad too. Got to have one so I'm seriously looking at the Mytouch and debating the data plan too. What to do...

you know what the real problem is, there are just too many darn choices. I have such a problem making up my mind sometimes. By the time I do decide, they've already come out with a new version/model. Rolling Eyes

@Tiff- Yeah, that's always a good choice. It took me a long time to let go of my blackberry lol
@NaturallyPrecious- Yeah, I don't blame you. You have to think about what you'll be doing on your phone and how much you'll be doing it. I'm with you on the qwerty keypad! I have the G2 myself and I love it!! You should look at that one. You still get the touch screen and you can keep your keyboard! I'm in love with android now too, so that was the best option for me!
@Renny- even when the $10 data promo is over you can get the same one for $15...there are a lot of choices though...kinda hard to choose sometimes...

Yes and all I have to pay is $10 for the data plan. I told the girl at t-mobile - I m frugal so i want a smart phone but I dont want a smart plan! It is also a touch screen!! The gps is awesome on it. The person will guide you even while you are on a call. the person that you are talking to doesn not even hear your gps talking!! I like it alot!!
Ive also used it to make videos on youtube!!

I'll give u a tip that most don't know about tmobile......

If you have been a customer for 2 years w/ good payment history ASK ABOUT THE CUSTOMER LOYALTY PLAN. You get UNLIMITED talk and text for $50 a month, web is extra though. I was on the customer loyalty plan from Jan 2009 till last month, a friend gave me an iPhone (my bestie jail broke it 4 me), so now I am on tmobiles prepaid ($50 for unlimited talk, text and 100 MB of web, includes taxes).

I've been a Tmobile girls since 2007, and I can't see myself w/ any other company. They are the BEST Very Happy

Yeah, the Customer Loyalty Plan helped me out a lot!! I am still waiting on them to come out with a cheaper unlimited data plan though. I use the internet on my phone so much... I called for the $10 plan but its not unlimited.Sad Nyla, just ask around. There are people jailbreaking phones all over the U.S., lol. I have a friend that jailbreaks phones and can change the operating systems. Like making a Windows phonw work on a Droid platform, etc.

@Ambitious_Tiff That is why I switched to their prepaid plan. I was sick of paying about $115 a month. I just couldn't swing it anymore now that I'm in school full time.

@NylaCoils My bestie did it for me, however she watched instructional vids on youtube to learn how to jailbreak it. She did hers and mine, love my bestie!

@Suqiit
I am thinking about doing that too. My bill with the Web Connect is about $150. I need it to access my classes though. Without the Web Connect its about $101. I am full time in school right now but when I drop down something will have to be cut.

@NaturallyPrecious
That's crazy! They kept calling me asking me if I wanted to switch. You should definitely hit them up.

@Suqiit- Yeah, the loyalty plan is the best one ever! I work for T-Mobile!

@Tiff and NaturallyPrecious- There is a promo plan right now for 1500 mins unl text and unl web for 79.99. It requires a 2 yr contract though. It won't affect your upgrade if you get it and then wait to get your phone...just a thought- that way it's not as expensive...

@Tiff - yes I most definitely plan to; these days you need as much financially beneficial advantage (if that's even a real phrase, but you know what I mean Very Happy ) as you can find.

@ Kitta- thanks for the info. It's great to have the insiders tip. That's what I love about this forum, all helpers of one another!!
