Man, if I see her fan her hair out one more time, I was going to scream, LOL. Beautiful hair though, that's pretty much my goal too.

yea, you noticed that too? Well, I subscribe to her but I'm never on YouTube. Her growth is amazing and her lenght is inspiring. Hope she tends to the edges because when I first went Natural I wore tons of headbands and finally realized my edges suffered becuase of them. I stopped and they are fine now.

It could be for traction alopecia which sometimes never heals. It could have happened 20-years ago for all we know...

I definitely noticed her edges too!!! I wonder if it's from her wearing her hari twisted mostly all the time!!!??? I know she doesn't do them tight but still. I wonder. Something caused it!! But other than that her hair is nice. Also seems like she could have gotten her hair a little straighter but i guess she didn't wanna over do it with the heat. Anyhow, I can't WAIT til my hair is that length. Right now mine is a little longer than this blown out...

I need to take more current pics. I think this was from about 2 months ago.

I felt a little let down. I think her blow dried hair looked better. The flat ironed hair looked like it needed more heat. It left her hair looking kind of stringy/thin. For all the hype, I thought it would have delivered more. But she did retain a ton of length!!!!!

Beautiful! I luvs me some kimmaytube. I cant wait to see my hair at that length, I will probably cry! I do agree that she probably could have gotten it straighter and silkier than that, but she probably didnt want to use so much heat. I loved the blowout results though!

Castor oil does not work for everyone. Some people just have naturally thin edges. And all the babying and oils in the world cannot do anything about that. I know this from experience.

I agree with you elitebeauty13. I have been using JBCO since my bc and my edges have not grown in at all. I still use it to oil my scalp and on my edges because I like it, but I don't look for the growth from it that most others talk about.

I agree with the two posters above me. I doubt that that the edges could be damaged if all the rest of her hair is growing fine

Kim has done a fantastic job at retaining length!! Woot Woot!!

I do believe she explained why she did not opt for bone straight and I agree with elitebeauty some people have thin edges naturally. I noticed that when she first came out with her first video. I think she is quite aware of it as she doesn't brush them and she is very careful not to put any stress on the area.

I remember her talking about thinning edges in one of her weekend shows.

She does favor hair accessories and even if you don't allow them to rest on your hairline, you can create friction when you put them on. See how she puts on the headband at the 1:30 mark in this video:

Actually not everyone's hair grow at the same rate. Mine grows slower than average.
