Hello my Beautiful Curlies/Naturals,

Ok, so I have light acne proned skin, that is oily around my chin and nose area (sometimes my cheeks as well)... I also have a few old ance marks...
I have never had skin porblems until I reached my twenties (Yeah, crazy)...

Back in my teens I used "Clear SKin"... But then again, as u age, ur skin changes...

I did use Proactive. That DID work, but times got hard, so I stop purchasing it.

I tried Black Soap.... Ummm. I don't think it worked very well.

I also use to use a night cream for acne scars, from Avon... If my face wasn't broken out, I would use it. But If I had a few bumps on my face while using the cream, it seemed as if it would agitate my bumps.. And Avon products are NOT know to do that, Ugh Mad

I recently purchased Oil of Olay cleansing Face wash specified for Oil/Combintion skin...
I have been using for 3 weeks. I don't see a difference... I am tired of wasting money.

I am really considering going back to Proactive since I know it works... But I was also curious just to see if any of you have the same problem and could give me som recommendations on products. Natural, Home made, or store bought!

Thanks Ladies!

i have moderate acne and my derm started me on a 4%benzoyl peroxide wash with ziana gel that i got my first tube for free and my ones after that for 20 but retails for $250 without insurance and Doxycyclin.so far it has help wonderfully. if you have insurance check it out but if you don't i would suggest going back proactiv and taking that nature's cure pill it's 5.00 dollars at your grocery stores for just the pills and ten with the bp cream included.i took these before i was prescribed doxy and they seemed to help a lot.one thing i learned from my derm is acne needs to be dealt internally. also merderma works wonders for scars. i burned myself with a diy chemical peel. after seeing hubby's facial expression from what i had done to myself, i rushed out the door in tears to get something to make the scars go away. cleared it up in two weeks with 3 time a day applications and now you will never know what happened. hubby said thank god!cuz he was worried! drink lotsa aqua and wear your sunscreen to help acne scars fade faster and block pollutants!clinique super city block spf 40 is the one i use. doesn't break me out and that's a good thing because if you look at me too hard i will break out! Shocked this week i'm going to start a honey and lemon juice mask weekly for acne scars as well. I can keep you updated! hope i helped!

Oh wow. Thank you so much for all of this info. Yes, luckily I have insurance so I will inquire about it...

Yes, make sure you tell me about ur honey and lemon juice mask. I am all about using natural ingrediants.

I saw Merderma at walgreens so I may pick up a tube!

you can also try to exfoliate if you haven't been doing that. Exfoliating will help alot as well if you use just honey and brown sugar (1:1) mix and then scrub your face no more than 3 times a week, you should see a great improvment as well. Also, make sure you change your pillow cases every 4 days. This will minimize the amount of oils from your hair transferring to your skin.

Also, if you have really oily areas and enlarged pores, try using withc hazel after everytime you cleanse and before you moisturize. It'll help remove the residue from your cleanser and tight your pores and help with oil-control.

Gulity... Don't remember when I Exfoliated...
But I will try the Honey/Brown sugar mix. Sounds like it will do wonders.
Umm, my pores are retarded. Around the nose area/but NOT quite the check area, my pores tend to appear large once my skin releases it's oil. But if my skin is being normal, u wont see them...

I am really going to try this scrub this week! Thanks hun!
