I am still shopping for a stylist...Does anyone have suggestions of stylists to go to and to stay away from? I currently go to the hair salon in Belk but she's kind of hard to get an appointment with cuz she is so darn good I just need a back up plan. Please let me know your suggestions?

You should try looking on the "Natural Hair Salons" board, they have North Carolina on there. You can probably find some good suggestions/reviews there. Good luck! Smile

I'm in Durham also. I plan on going to the following salon on next Saturday:
www.theremedyhairandbodyspa.com/

I'll have to post next week on how my appt goes.

I've also heard positive reviews about Belzea Couture salon (it's in Durham--across from Southpoint mall)

Speaking of the remedy...My stylist just moved to a new place...and she is natural so I may just have to get in where I fit in...I hope she can give me pointers on being natural since she has first hand experience. Her name is Ashley Sanders.

That's funny. I used to go to Ashley Sanders when she was at Lavish Hair Spa. That was about 2 years ago. I stopped going there because the salon raised the price of a relaxer tremendously. I saw that Ashley S. used to work at Remedy but she no longer does.

I don't know of any natural hair salons in Durham, however, if you're willing to travel to Raleigh, the woman that makes My Honey Child products has a shop there. Here is the address and phone number:
608 W Johnson St # 12
Raleigh, NC 27603-1242
(919) 828-9689

Here is her website: https://www.sophiasunflower.com/Home_Page.php.
