I Love this quote Empty I Love this quote

Post by JazmineB 13th January 2011, 6:19 am

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Used by Nelson Mandela in his 1994 inaugural speech

Yes! When I first heard that on Coach Carter (I think that was the movie) I kept replaying that part until I had it memorized...
By-the-way, the quote was written by Marianne Williamson...

I love that quote-

and just because, here is one of my favorites:

"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves."

You can touch the world from wherever God plants you. The key is to allow yourself to be planted in the field of His choosing.

Love is neither fragile nor seasonal.

Jesus encountered many people who had messed up their lives. He didn't see them as a problem. He saw Himself as their solution.

Stop looking to others for comparison or validation. You're an original. Become comfortable with your difference.

Beware of extreme emotions like rage, fear, & infatuation which demend committed action based on limited information.

The Lord never instructs us to fight battles that He hasn't already won. When He knows we're depending on Him, He goes before us.

Whether or not people like you doesn't govern your success or failure. Whether or not they have a good reason to does.

Often you breakthrough begins as an unbearable situation. Don't decide you can't make it before you give GOD a chance to weigh in.

All by Pastor Hart Ramsey.

The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.

I love quotes - absolutely love them. I change mine here every couple of days. As a matter of fact, time for a new one.
