What should I do about a heat cap?
I use a heat cap about once a month to deep condition my hair, but each time I use it, it stretches out more and more. This is because my hair doesn't fit into because its so thick. Do you think I would get the same effect from buying one of those salon-style dryers? Or do you know of any companies that make larger-sized heat caps?
Heres an old (pre-5 inch cut) picture of my hair, to show the thickness. . .[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Jazmine- You have AWESOME HAIR! OMG!! With all your hair, you are going to need a salon dryer. Or have you tried to put your hair in a ponytail and braid the ponytail and gently place that in the cap?

i usually twist or coil my hair in 4 sections and then put the cap on

I think that the hooded dryer will work better for you but try the other options here the ladies have suggested and if that doesnt work buy the dryer

Try putting your hair in a plastic shopping bag before putting on your heat cap.

try the HydraCap, I use it for deep conditioning with two strand twists and for silk wraps!!!
I ordered mine from Sally's, I had to get mine delivered since I'm overseas but I heard they have them in the stores

Yeah, I was gonna say what ChrsLvsBks said....plastic shopping bag! And then maybe you can place a warm towel on top of that to give you more heat. OR just an oversized knit bonnet may work too, just to keep some heat in.

Re: What should I do about a heat cap?
thanks guys! I already do twist my hair before putting the shower cap on(I have an extra large one from Target, so wrapping it isn't a problem), but its still a tight fit in the heat cap.
CocoEuro, How much does the HydraCap stretch? It looks interesting! Do you have to throw it away and buy a new one each time you use it, though? If that were the case I think I might just invest in a bonnet dryer

OHH!!! jazmine, my bad. I misunderstood. Ok, I have the bonnet dryer attachment for the blowdryer and I think it was onlly $10 at Sally's. It works pretty good and it's a decent size. (my hubby always says I have a big head and it was fine!! LOL) Plus I had on flexirods while under it. And I think it may suit you because it's very lose when you put it one but then when you turn the blow dryer on it swells and will cover your head. So maybe you can try that and if it doesn't work, take it back!!!

thanks misskris! It attaches to any blow dryer? Whats the name of it?
