It's official.. I'M DONE!!

October 26, 2009 was my last relaxer. Throughout my transition I wore sew-ins, braid extensions, and buns. I got my ends clipped little by little and here I am now.. I'm so excited, now I can enjoy my hair without two textures.

Thank you!! I'm so excited you wouldn't believe lol.. I truly understand why it's called a journey, esp if you decide to transition with both textures. I feel beautiful everyday, I don't have these constant battles with my hair and self esteem, I feel like I'm in a league of my own. I've never seen my hair without a relaxer, and I've been dyeing since I was 14!! so no relaxer or color was hard for me.. I'm so happy I made the decision to grow my relaxer out, it's the best decision I have ever made with my hair. I'm still adjusting, but I recently told someone, not relaxing my hair was a change of lifestyle. My hair has inspired me to pay attn to ALL of my body inside and out. I thank the CN site for providing sooo much info on products, regimens, hairstyles, and so much more. This site has really helped me, it's been my life saver. I don't think I would've made it to the end without it.

Thank you!! I'm like a proud mama right now.. I need to look over old pics and compare my relaxed to natural. My hair is so thick and full now, which I didn't have before, the end results were well worth it. I have a few textures going on in there but I am very happy with what I have.
