A few months ago i've watched a few videos on youtube about Ph balance , than i also did my research this really peeked my curiosity and i was wondering how many of you test the Ph in your products ? if so what did you come up with i'm planning on purchasing some Ph strips so i can test my giovanni conditioners , my whipped shea butters and my water , from what i understand our products should be neutral witch is a ph balance of 7

I got all excited about pH balance for a while. But, now I realize it's not as big of a deal as I thought. It's hard to find literature on the subject, but I did read info saying that our hair has a higher pH than others....between 6 and 7, like you said. But, I also found that subjecting the hair to a slightly lower pH, say around 5, can help smooth the cuticle layer. I read that here....

So, really the desired pH range is around 4.5 to 7. If you're curious to see which brands fall in that range, check out the shampoos and conditioners in the Hair Liberty Boutique Smile
