Mixed Chicks
I am by no means mixed, but the mixed chicks leave in conditioner seems like a really good product and it has great reviews. I need something new for the upcoming cold months. My question is has anyone tried it? and does it only work for the 3a,3b,3c hair? My hair is 4a/4b but idk if it would work for my hair texture.

Re: Mixed Chicks
I've used it for my son who has a mix of 3c/4a hair... It makes it nice and soft. It's nothing special, though. There are cheaper products I've tried that work just as well or better. Aussie Moist does a wonderful job for both of my kids. And Nature's Baby Organics Conditioner Leave-in or Rinse out does well for my hair and my kids. And the vanilla tangerine smells wonderful. I guess that one costs about the same as the Mixed Chicks, though, but has more natural ingredients.

Re: Mixed Chicks
Hi Nessa. I am not sure if it would work on your hair. I have 4a hair and it did work for me, even though it was a lighter curl definer..As far as the product it did work. I have a shampoo used once, and a untouched unopened leave in if you want to swap..Just pm if interested..
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Mixed Chicks
I'm not sure about my hair type but if I had to guess it would be 3c. The Mixed Chicks leave in cond. clumps my curls nicely but lately, after using, my hair feels dry. The last time I used it was this summer so I'm going to wait to finish up my bottle when it cools off to see if it's better in the winter.
I have to apply it to dripping wet hair or it'll just kinda sit on top and not work as well. Here's a pic of my hair still damp with the Mixed Chicks.

Thanks for the responses ladies! I want to try it, but I don't wanna try it and be dissapointed (AHEM .. broke college student) LOL. I'm going to read some more reviews before I decide and jeanlouisangel your curl definition is HAWT.

You should look in one of the beauty supply stores to see if they have samples. I know they sell them in some beauty supply stores for maybe a dollar and something. On the mixed chicks website they have a store locator to see where the product is sold nearest you.

Re: Mixed Chicks
I think it smells great, and is a great styler.
I'm mixed, and my hair texture is 4a. It doesn't work as a definer for me, i think it would work better for looser curls and weaves, but that's just me.

Re: Mixed Chicks
I am interested in trying the leave in and the conditioner because the ingredients have some of my top 5 in there. However, I may order it online instead of purchasing it at the local BBS since they have it for almost double the price ( crazy). I have 4a hair. - not mixed.

Re: Mixed Chicks
I used Mixed Chicks Leave-in and it was just OK for me. It gave my 4a hair definition but left it feeling quite dry. I was going to give it away to a coworker who has 3b-3c hair but I decided to add a little olive oil to the bottle and shook it up. I used it again and it was the business! I disliked Kinky-Curly Knot Today as well until I added some castor oil to its bottle. It is amazing what a little oil can do to enhance the quality of a product.

Everyone's hair needs are different... BUT, it did NOTHING for me!
