Are There Any Other P90Xers Here?

I've just started this. Actually, I started a month ago, got busy, put it down and now picking it up again but it's definitely whipping my behind. Boot Camp 101! I think this program was designed for the ones someone fit already..definitely not for beginners. I thought Hey, I was an avid exerciser back in the day, (like I'm ancient or something) I can give it a shot. Wrong! LOL! But I'm not giving up. Just don't touch any spot on my body at the moment.

If there are any other users, how are you doing? Let's motivate each other.

it is truly a hard workout - even intermediate level exercises are going to struggle. i tried it for a week but going down into the basement just made me depressed plus it was so hard [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]. so i'm back to my classes in the gym. are you still doing it naturallydestined? if i start up again, i'll be sure to post my progress.

I'm back at it. I go between p90 and my old Tae Bo workouts. p90 is hard. I'm trying really desperately to motivate myself. If some of the gyms had childcare around here, I would definitely give classes a try. I may need to check that out.

I love P90X I started it this past summer and completed the 90 day workout in time for my trip to Vegas and my body looked better than ever!! I was in the Army, trained and ran a marathon and have done everything from The Firm (which I still love), Yoga, Pilates, Tae Bo and the list goes on.....but I really love the intensity of P90X...I get results in 5 days of working out!!! I started my workout again and I am on week 2 of the lean I completed Yoga X this morning and will be doing legs and back tonight!

@ ChrsLvsBks - they have one person doing all the workouts, Tony Horton, but he has a group of people with him and the will be doing different variations of the exercises...it's a very, very intense work out!

Good luck!!!! I started with my boyfriend and he stop at week 4....so I switched to the lean workout....I found myself getting ripped in places I really didnt want....I like the lean much better, but I do stick Plyometrics in there too!!

Yeah, the Lean is my pref too. Most ladies prefer Lean because of the cardio and toning. All the other stuff is just a bit too much. Tony puts it on you! I feel like it's basic training 101. LOL

I know!! It's worse than Basic to me!!! But I love the results!! Good luck!!

What about the 4 days you're off?? You can workout on those days.......

@naturalnurseo4, I totally understand about those 12 hrs shifts. I'm working them too (another RN). I have found that the best time for my workouts have been on my off days in the evenings after dinner then it's shower time and bed. I guess you just have to find what's convenient or what works for your schedule. Don't give up yet. You can do it!

@koilsbynature... does this workout help your stomach area? Thats my main focus. regular floor crunches aren't getting me those flat abs that I'm so eager to have by summer 2010.

YES!!! It will work your core in almost every exercise, that is the first place I see results!

I have the P90X workout. I need to get back on it... I kinda fell off for a while!! Thanks for getting me excited again. My problem lately has been getting my butt off the couch. LOL!! I keep using the cold weather and the kids as an excuse not to work out, but I really don't have a leg to stand on because I have the P90X workout that I can do at home. LOL. Well, I need to get ready for my next PT test, so either I can start now, or wait 'til I have a week and over do it.... I will start...tomorrow. LOL!!!

I was Army for 5 years, now I'm Air Force Reserve and I work as a civilian with the Air Force... When were you in the Army? Where were you stationed?

REALLY!!!! I was V Corps too G6!!! What years were you there???? I was there from 98-00!

Nope. Just missed you!! I got there Jan '01. LOL!! I was in G6 at Fort Stewart at the same time your were in Germany. Too funny. Such a small world!! I got out of the Army in Germany. Young, dumb and stupid. LOL!! If I had known then what I know now, I would have stayed at least another two years... Germany was beautiful!! And I had the BEST job!!!
