MIDNIGHT: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah

I am currently reading (Chapter 7: Quiet Money) this novel which is by a novelist that I love. The way Souljah writes it's like poetry (to me- you feel it, you understand it and you live it: page by page). Like Bishop Jakes the store unfolds right before you, you are totally engrossed... captivated if you will. Okay enough about that.

Has anyone here read this novel if so what are your thoughts?

I finished this book about 2 weeks ago, and I am eagerly awaiting the next one. I was done in 5 days, because I could not put the book down. It was great. The book that connects Coldest Winter and Midnight should be out late this year or early 2011.

What are your thoughts?

i have read this book twice..i so love it...i couldn't put it down that book went everywhere with me lol

So far I am so enjoying learning about Midnight's past and what lead him to the life he lived (working for Santiago). I am still reading the novel. It is taking me sometime due to I have a lot going on right now. But it is definitely a page turner. I have to get my reading in on a off day and they are few and far in between. Thank you for the heads up on the new novel. I will be sure to pick it up once it hits the bookstore.

Now back to Midnight. Where are these types of brothers at? The protector, the provider, the friend who knows the heart of a women and his place a man? I don't know who the man is Souljah is speaking of in this novel, because we know most novels are based on someone we know, knew or desire to know (fictional), girlfriend he is a keeper...okay. I am talking til death do we part keeper. I am going to keep reading and see where this story takes me. But for now I am so enjoying it.

I read this a few months ago sister Souljah did again I wonder if there going to be a part two I would like to what happends after he goes to get his wife. I also feel like this book should have came out before coldest winter ever
