Thanx everyone, I chose the Henna! I've never tried it before, but I've always wanted to. I love shea butter and still have a good amount left.

Im interested on how the Henna works for you...I seems as if you have thick hair and I've read that Henna thickens the hair...I would love to see what outcome you get MeekMonique - Page 3 Icon_biggrin

@curly+kinky+fierce oh snap lol, don't scare me Smile
It will definitely be interesting. Hopefully I will get some time to do it before the year is out.

I finally washed my hair. I pre-poo'd with LeKair Cholesterol and had to detangle a bit before I washed it. It felt much much much better. I got to use one of my Chagrin Valley shampoo bars. I was a lil scared because I thought it would dry out my hair, but I like it! I tried the Babassu Marshmallow shampoo bar and I actually like it...it did not dry out my hair or tangle it. 3 more to try Smile

Please post about the rest of the bars? I have been wanting to go to their store but I can wonder around aimlessly in a beauty products store of any kind for HOURS! Sooooo not productive... and maybe your posts can help me decide a lil.

@LilMsPuddles I certainly will. I wash my hair every week so I'm going to use a different one each time and I'll review it then. Smile

Congrats!

While my hair is not as thick and long as yours, I did notice my strands felt thicker, if this makes since. It is hard to describe. I guess it is the strengthening effects of the henna.

With the bar, did it lather? Does the bar leave a scent on your hair?

@ChrsLvsBks....sorry I'm so late(finals last week)
It does have a smell, but I wouldn't say it leaves a scent on the hair and yes it does lather, but it's only a light lather.

@LilMsPuddles, I tried the Extra Honey Beer & Egg shampoo bar and I didn't like it. It was kind of drying, but my hair was already in bad shape at the time...so that might have something to do with it. I'll try it again after I try the other two Smile

Thanks, Everyone for the well wishes on my finals. I'm soooooooo relieved that they're done.

Thanks for the compliments as well.
I was really sick with the stomach virus, so my hair had to take a back seat. I think I'm better today, so I'm planning on washing it.

wow, i forgot all about this board. I think I'm gonna use it to vent my hair frustrations! I'm sooooo tired of my hair. I cut 3 inches in april to even it out which was great for a little while, but now that it's grown back, I'm ready to cut it allllllll the way off. I hate wash days!!!! My hair is always so tangly and I don't really have the time nor the patience to do twists that are decent enough to wear out. I used to be really good about cornrowing the front and twisting the back, but I just hate doin my own hair now!!!!!!!

Awww I'm sorry you're frustrated with your hair. It is beautiful though. have you thought about getting braids to give you a break from it?

I feel the same way. I'm thinking of putting in twists for a couple of months. I did not think I would feel this way.

MeekMonique- Despite your frustrations you have beautiful hair and length! Braiding up for a while would give you an awesome break! Hope you can push thru it.

You too Chrs!

Thank you all for your encouragement and compliments. I've never worn braids before. I don't know if I would be able to deal with that because my scalp gets really itchy and clarifying it is the only relief for me. I'm just going to cut it because I've been complaining for a while now and it takes too long even to just wash it. I think if I cut it off, I will appreciate it more and it will give me a break that I've never really had since I never big chopped I transitioned with mini-chops for 2 years.
