Do you Pre-poo?
Hey Curlies!
I notice in some ladies regimine they say they pre-poo. My question is what are the basic steps to pre-pooing and what is the purpose or benefits of prepooing? I saw some yt videos do it with honey or mixtures, or just oil. Please help, I just want to be informed so I can figure out a routine for Sheba (my hair). Thanks in advance.

My hair had been really breaking off, but I noticed a big difference after just my first pre poo. I started using coconut oil, but lucked up on a soybean/olive oil mix at the dollar store so i've been using that lately.

Re: Do you Pre-poo?
I prepooed once & it was a pleasant result. I did it overnight & I did not enjoy sleeping with the bag on (I wore a knit cap on top). But the result was worth it: nice slip, very soft & I can hold a style longer when the hair has been preepooed.
Re: Do you Pre-poo?
Pre-pooing makes such a huge difference with my hair! I have a dryness problem lol especially in the winter... Pre-pooing makes my hair really moist. I usually mix jasmine or olive oil with a conditioner and sleep with it over night (with a bag). I agree with mommydiva, pre-pooing does seem to make styles last longer.

I prepoo with vatika oil. I sleep with it in overnight, with just my regular sleep cap. I apply it earlier in the evening so that it has mostly soaked in by the time I head to bed.

I just recently started pre-pooing and I've noticed that it helps tremendously in the detangling process. It's like the oil just melts the tangles away. I will continue to do this!

I pre-poo and I agree that it really makes detangling much easier. I prepoo with Aubrey Organics HSR, honey/EVOO mix. Works like a charm!

I pre-poo with Vatika oil and when I have, I notice significant more hang time and my hair holds on to moisture better. Of course, when I do it prior to co-washing ,the results are even better!

Re: Do you Pre-poo?
I always pre-poo on dry ahir with warmed conditioner, oil, or combo of both. Been a staple in my rountine since day 1. I have a lot of hair wound up in coils, wear my hair out often yet I don't have a problem with tangles. Pre-pooing is a must with both my dau and my hair!!
