Natural Clarifying Shampoo
Can someone recommend a good clarifying shampoo, I prefer mostly natural or close to natural ingredients. I have had my hair in braids for a month, and the last conditioner I used left a film on my scalp (ORS replenishing conditioner).

Have you ever tried the baking soda treatment?:
Baking Soda Treatment
1/2 Cup of Baking Soda
1 Full Cup of Conditioner
1 Cap Full of EVOO
Directions:
Apply to rinsed damp hair. Do NOT shampoo first-baking soda is a natural cleanser. Once hair is saturated, cover with a plastic bag and cover with a warm towel. Leave on for an hour. Rinse with lukewarm water and co-wash gently.

I love using baking soda. I think I'm addicted. I have it for baking and I keep one in the bathroom. I even brush my teeth with it because I'm a coffee drinker.

No I've never tried baking soda. Will it bleach my hair though? I know people use it to whiten teeth, as nmoultry suggested.

No it doesn't bleach your hair it just help strip all the build up that accumulates in your hair. Try taking a look at youtube to see what other naturals had to say about it, there are a lot of videos on this treatment.

I use Dr. Bonner's Peppermint castile soap and it feels so good on my scalp. Be sure to diluate just as dajewel stated. The bottle I have cost $10 and it's more than 32oz, so it will last a long time. An all natural product.
