Kinky Twists

Has anyone had them done with extentions? I was thinking it'd be fun and easy for the summer but am leary of the tightness and stress braids can put on your hair. What do you guys think? I'm really feeling this look tho:

I've had kinky twists quite a few times and I love them. For me, they weren't as tight and stressful to my hair as micros/braids and I didn't lose a ton of hair when I took them out. I'm actually planning to get them done again this summer.

I'm getting some next week for the first time so I don't know what to expect.

I wear them often as my protective style. It really promotes hair growth for me. My avatar picture is a short version I had a while ago.

Your hair in your avi is super cute, too! I'm tempted but have had some thinning on top and am scared to put too much stress in that area.

OMG thats the same picture I pointed at when I was at the shop getting mine done last week. This is my first time having them and I'm lovin em so far. They didn't take as long as braids to get done so that's a plus.

Oooooo I am wondering if I wanna try these myself or not! The only difference is that I don't want extensions.

I currently am wearing some twists I did myself with extensions. I would call them more on the senegalese twist side not kinky twists. I bought the hair for about 1.99 a pack and learned the technique from youtube...It came out very very cute if I knew how to post pictures I would....I plan on keeping them in until it gets warm in Jersey, redoing the outsides every 2 weeks or so...I love them, so many styles I can do with them and I did them myself so they werent too tight at all... Just sharing...
