Aprilj90-

I use it as a moisturizer and my hair loves it. I usually seal with oils.

For you, is there a preference of applying it to wet hair over dry?

I prefer applying it to dry hair. My shea butter mixture is shea butter, EVOO, EVCO, castor oil and few drops of vitamin E oil.

@April-

My hair loves oils I have EVOO, Castor oil, coconut oil, almond, grape, avacodo, JBHO.... Right now Im lovin the castor oil. Im in the castor oil challenge. You may want to check out that thread.

I also mix my shea w/ coconut oil, JBHO, EVOO, thanks to Ms. Lynn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I now add castor oil to the mix and my hair is soooooo soft and moisturized. Lynn I'm going to have to try the vitamin E.

Vitamin E oil is a natural preservative. That's the only reason I add it. I want to give my shea butter mix a longer shelf life.

I used castor oil for the very first time during my last cowash. I think I favor it over my unrefined shea mix. I also use grapeseed oil, olive oil and jojoba oil. I used these oils/butters to seal moisture in my hair. These applications are always follow a mist of a water-based moisturizer.
