hi guys! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

so after months years of basically doing nothing with my hair but washing and going i decided to try the bantu knots and see how it would turn out. I was very leary because one, I am horrible at styling my hair and two, once my aunt did something like this to my hair and it did not end very well.

anyway, i really liked the outcome when I did it except some of the knots or curls after taking the knots out wouldn't seperate. They ended up just being stringy spiral things. Is this normal? lol

How did yall's first knot out go? any tips for next time i try it?

sorry for the crappy phone picture: I don't know what was going on with my face so I blocked it out.

Your hair came out really cute. I didn't like the way mine came out when I did it, maybe because I still have relaxed ends. I'm thinking they will look better once I'm completely natural.

I haven't been successful with a bantu knot out et because i usually get a headache and take them down. However, your looks fab.

Looks pretty girl. Yea I've tried it twice and it did not work out....still I blame it on my relaxed ends like Tmocha.

It looks great. My bantu knot outs were my staple style during my transition, I would take them down and pin them up in the middle to make a faux hawk!

Your BKO looks great! I have tried it twice. It looked better the second time I did it. I am still tweaking it.

I agree, yours looks great! I think that's how it's supposed to look, with defined spirals.

Your hair is very pretty. I'm transitioning as well yet in order for me to achieve this look I have to do it on a 2 day old TnC used with perm rods. I knot my hair nightly with shea/jojoba butter to preserve this look and take them down in the a.m. before work. I will admit there were days that I actually went to work with my scarf on bc my knots were not completely set. IDC. I'm there to work! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
