Day 1: Natural Hair Barbies!??
As I was perusing the web last week, I came across these beautiful African American barbie dolls with natural hair! I was fortunate enough to get in contact with the doll artist behind these creations, and she was gracious enough to give me an interview.
Check out some of the dolls below and feel free to read the actual interview here:

Update on my hair: I'm stuck at home with the flu : ( so I'm just wearing a wash-n-go from Saturday. I did a deep condition with a mixture of Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie and Miss Jessie's Deep Recovery Treatment. Hair felt really soft after washing it out. For a leave-in, I went back to one of my oldies but goodies (HE Hello Hydration) and mixed it with a bit of sweet almond oil and castor oil.

Day 2: Sick Day but Clean Hair : )
So first off, just wanted to thank you guys for the "feel better" wishes. Unfortunately though, I woke up this morning with a fever higher than yesterday's and had to stay home yet again. I am feeling much better now though and hope to be back to my chipper self tomorrow : )
Since I became sick over the weekend, my hair had taken a beating. I was too lazy to do anything with it and didn't even wear a satin bonnet to bed. I've been pretty miserable with this sickness! Anywho, when I started feeling slightly better today, I decided to give my hair a little bit of TLC with a nice deep condition since I was stuck at home.
My DC Mix:
Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner (love the scent!)
Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery Deep Treatment
Honey
EVOO
I warmed this mixture up in the microwave for about 15 secs before applying to my already washed hair (Miss Jessie's Cleansing Creme)
I applied my DC mix to my hair, and made sure my hair was completely saturated with the mixture before putting on a plastic cap. I kept the cap on for about 2 hrs since I really had nowhere to go. After 2 hrs, I rinsed my hair with cool water and then just applied my oil blend of EVOO, sweet almond, castor oil and avocado oil.
Here's how my hair looks now (hope I don't look TOO sick in this pic, lol)
