I already twisted it for the night. I'll take a pic tomorrow though when I untwist and fluff.

LOL, I don't know why I got so bold. I think I was just tired of hearing that phrase from women-- "I want to go natural but my hair won't do that." LIke, do what? Grow naturally?

I must confess...I've been very lazy. Phoenix has been neglected. The good thing is that I did at least 1) sleep in a bonnet 2) apply some coconut oil and hair milk before leaving the house. The bad news is that I found that my twist-out (the new big version) lasts without me having to re-twist.

On my agenda:
Treat Phoenix to some pampering this weekend.
Make youtube video for giveaway.

But first, I must defend my thesis proposal tomorrow. If the proposal is this much work...what have I gotten myself into? So tired...sleep now

Erica5417 wrote:My hair was so big today. I'm really mastering the art of the twist out. This time I tried a different routine. I cowashed with Suave Coconut Naturals, used Giovanni 50/50 as a rinse out and Giovannit Tea Tree as a leave in. I allowed my hair to air dry as it was (this was actually by accident since I was writing). I didn't feel like rewetting my hair to twist it so I just dry twisted and because it was so well moisturized I only added Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter to the ends. Can you say big hair?! I loved it. Twisting it dry really stretched my hair. Got so many compliments. Went to a dinner and a young lady said, "I would love to go natural but my hair won't do that." I said, "honey, you've probably had a perm all your life. You've never even seen your natural hair, you have no idea what it will do. Let go of that relaxer and you'll see." I'm about to twist my hair for the night and do some more work.

LOL TEACH!!

Thanks Lynnie! The proposal was accepted so now on to the fun part-- finishing the thesis itself. At least I get to sleep well tonight before I have to get right back to work.

Youtube giveaway video will be posted tomorrow (I'm giving away the 33.5 oz Giovanni 50/50 Hydrating/Calming conditioner that I was not supposed to buy).

*now, let's hope for a really great hair day Smile

As for what's going on with my hair now. I'm wearing it out quite a bit which I know I shouldn't do but I can't help it. Phoenix hates to be confined. We're going to have to have a long talk about protective styling. She can be so stubborn sometimes. I have been wearing twists for the last 2 days but I've been home for the most part. As soon as it's time to go to work or class, she wants to show off. I think all those compliments have given her a big head.

Nothing special. Classes are in full swing so I'm twisting on the weekend and rocking the twistouts for at least 4-5 days. Got dinner with Martin Luther King III tonight so we'll see how big we can get Phoenix to go.

I'll get my daughter to snap a pic. I'm a little upset because I can't wear heels yet (still recovering from surgery). If anybody knows me, they know I love me some 4 inch heels!

On another note, I finally found the perfect use for Carol's Daughter Hair Milk-- it is amazing on my edges when refreshing this twistout in the mornings. Since I only use it on the front edges, the bottle will last for a while so I might be tempted to buy another bottle (after the challenge ends of course).
