I was looking up the Curls brand of products and wanted to know if their stuff is better or worse than Kinky Curly.

They're totally different. Curls is the creamy stuff so you don't get that 'wet' look. Its moisturizing and you'll get the big look. A lot of people will use it for twists. I used it for almost everything; laying my edges down, twists, and big, fluffy wash'n'go's.

KCCC is more of a gel that gives wonderful hold. Its moisturizing as well, but I have to use my mixture of aloe and glycerin...well I use that under almost everything. I found my mixture worked better than the Knot Today because it gave me hard, crunchy hair. I use KCCC maybe every quarter. I used it recently to do a length check actually since it elongates the curls and it lasts so long. I can wear my hair, untouched, for a week.

I love both actually. And here's a secret...some have used the Eco gel and have gotten the same initial results as the KCCC. However, I don't think the Eco will last as long.

I've heard about the IC Fantasia acting like a KCCC in some people's hair too. That's less expensive than KCCC so that's probably what I'm going to be buying. I think the Eco gel isn't as healthy for your hair as the IC? I'm not sure...

I did a wash'n'go once with IC and it was ok. I wasn't really impressed with. The funny thing is that the one I have doesn't hold my edges so I have use another gel for my edges.

Both have been recommended by the natural community on YouTube...

Oh okay...I tried to put it on my daughter's hair when it was still wet and had conditioner in it and it flaked up like some people say it does when it's added to another product or water so I guess I'll have to use it on dry hair to see if I like it.

I think it was the conditioner. Try it without so much conditioner.
