Re: Notthecoolmom
My sewing machine is collecting dust. By the time I sit down at it I have to oil it up. Sad. I need more free time.
Another option for selling is to use your youtube channel or look into etsy - however they to also take a portion of the profits

Yeah I thought about etsy, but they take more than paypal. I don't know I'm not the best "pitch" person.
Re: Notthecoolmom
Oh btw, if you get a chance to work on the lamb, I'd like a pink one. Light pink. Let me know.

Okay I'll see what I can do.
Re: Notthecoolmom
So I was going to do my hair tonight, but I'm tired and I really want to do a real style, so I think I'll save it until tomorrow or Wednesday.
I'm working on the red elephant should be done soon then a purple one then an attempt at a lamb.
Hubby got me a book of patterns yesterday (SO EXCITED).
How is this time change going for you? I want my hour back.

LOL! My cousin and I used to do the same thing. We would stand in the bathroom behind the door (there was a mirror on the door) and flick our hair and pretend we were white girls, cause of course only white girls could have hair that long. How sad!
Re: Notthecoolmom
So today I realize that I have a version of BIG hair...it snuck up on me. I took my headband off and put on my play clothes and looked up into the mirror. There it was staring back at me in the mirror. I had to smile. My year anni comes up in April. I'll have to look at the difference ( in pics) then. I'm tired but I took tomorrow off so I'm going to try to rest. I am working on the purple elephant and will be finish in a little bit. Tomorrow I need to do my hair and little bit it's like she's been spinning on her head. I don't know what she does to make it like that, but I'm going to try something simple for the both of us.

No pics...didn't have the camera around. My braid out got bigger and bigger.

So picture my hair in this video (before the headband), but with multiple day expansion.

No just crochet right now. I want to learn, but haven't had the time.

I liked it after I took all the braids out. But I still don't like the amount of time it takes to take them out. I think it maybe I'll change my mind after my hair gets longer.
I washed my hair today and tried some new products and/or mixtures. I'll have to see how it feels tomorrow, but I like the way it feels before it's fully dry.
Re: Notthecoolmom

The request was for a pink one. I think he's cute also.
It all depends on the creation and if I do it in one sitting or not. I usually do a little bit at a time. So it's broken up into minutes or hours at a time. Now the lamb took me longer than I would expect because even though he's small it's tougher to get everything sewn together.
Thanks
Re: Notthecoolmom
So I tried a new conditioner last night and I think I love it.
First, I used a mixture of olive oil, aussie moist and trader joe tea tree tingle. I used it to detangle (I gotta get rid of this aussie moist) even hubby said my hair smelled nice.
Then, I washed w/ my carol's daughter shampoo (which I hated when I was relaxed) but am starting to love now and added a little giovanni 50:50 before rinsing (from Kimmaytube)
Next, I put on Yes to Carrots conditioner. (the music plays)
I rinsed most of it out then applied olive oil, Giovanni direct leave in and my shea butter mixture to twist.
Now my hair was feeling and smelling great last night, but today I am loving it even more. I was afraid it would be a lovely wet feeling and then whatever the next day, but I think I'm finding my staple products one by one.
So right now what will be in my cabinet on a regular:
Giovanni Direct Leave in
Yes to Carrots Conditioner
EVOO
Coconut oil
Shea Butter
Peppermint Oil
Castor Oil

Re: Notthecoolmom
Loving the animals.
I am narrowing down my products too. I'm finding too that most of my products are natural or organic.
