Out of curiosity, are there any natural or transitioning ladies in the Lexington, KY area?

I'm in Louisville. Last relaxer was in June of this year. It has been a struggle, but I'm holding on. What about you??

Finally, someone near me! My last relaxer was in October, so I've only been at this for a few months. I'm just beginning to see new growth and I'm excited. I recently cut my long hair to my chin. I'm not ready to do a BIG cut and loose all my length, so I figured that if I cut some here and some there it wouldn't be as bad. As for shampoo's what are you using? Right now I really like hydralicious from Herbal Essence, I want to try Giovanni 50/50 balance, but that's more expense than a graduate student budget will allow, lol.

Me too! Are you transitioning, if so how long?

Naw... I'll be natural for 3 years coming up in March. I was a long term transitioner though. After my last perm in March of 07 I got my hair cut into a shoulder length bob and grew it out with microbraids, sew-ins, rod sets etc. The last bit of straight ends was probably cut off a year later in the summer.
