Where are my sister's!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I have been transitioning 4 months now and I said I want to go a year before I do my BC because I am not comfortable rocking a TWA. I would love to find a Curly Gurly sister how like myself is planning to go a year before doing her Big Chop and finding a Curly Gurly who has transitioned and BC'd already and can give me the ends and outs of this journey while being my support system, confindant and buddy who takes this journey with me.

Hey loveself! I am 3 months post and planning on transitioning for a year myself. I could definitely use the support because now it is getting a little tough for me (this is when I would normally relax).

@Loveself, I have been transitioning since Aug. and needs someone to take this walk with me also. I am in Houston so we can even meet up.

I also plan to transition for 1 yr (about 3 months left). So LEAN ON ME...lol

I didnt transition long term but just in case you get tired of the two textures early, I am here to help as much as I can. I started out with about an a little over an inch of hair. I am still newly natural myself (4 months under my belt).

I live in the Houston area as well. I transitioned for about a year using afro-kinky twists and BC'd June 2009 (my last relaxer was May 2008). I continued to wear the twists until August. Twist-n-Curls is how I'm currently wearing my hair. I have yet to regret my decision to go natural (and I doubt I ever will!!!)

Though I'm still learning how to manage/care for my natural hair, I can provide encouragement or some ideas.

My last relaxer was October 31st and I don't ever plan on doing the BC. My hair has always been long so I plan on transitioning until my natural hair is at least shoulder length stretched [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I would love to have a Big Sister or A Little Sister.. LOL I am 40...lol

I had planned on transitioning for a while but I could not take having two textures on short hair- it was too hard so I did a mini chop at the barbershop and I pretty much cut relaxed hairs out everyday! most are on the top. I still havent figured out how to post pics yet!!

I've been transitioning for 10 months! I plan to go at least a year or two before I cut my hair. I agree with jcokes, I want to have at least shoulder length hair before I cut it. I'm not the best stylist (not even close), but for most of the year (since February) I've worn braids in my hair. So if you have styles that work please let me know. Thank you!!

I think this is great, we can all be each other's support system, I know I'll need one, so count me in.

shy u look good with short hair (u remind me of eddie murphy's wife..well ex). mine was a mini bc too cuz i was already short but i just decided to go with the amber rose to REALLY start fresh. i feel like i appreciate the struggle more starting bald and i KNOW i aint got the patience to transition, lol.

i loooooooove houston (visited when my brother went to texas southern); definitely southern hospitality. im used to rude azz folks in the dmv area so when a stranger just started talkin to me out the blue im lookin like "who me". the tattoo's are hella cheap and i had to stop pass pappadeaux! **sigh** i need to revisit.

I would love to be a part of a support system. I am starting month 7 of my transition and would love some sisterly advice along the way. Count me in!
