Ordering Hair products

Post by thetiffany on 19th February 2011, 3:25 pm

I am taking the plunge and finally ordering some hair products online. The first product I ordered was kCCC and Knot today during the summer. I was so convinced that I would love it condisering I heard so much about it.

Anyways, i am in the market for a great product for a twist out, a nice daily moisture mist or spritz leave in, curlformers, and the tangle teezer.

I need to know the best place to order from and also product recommendations if you will. I know all products dont work for everyone, but I am willing to try something new. If it helps at all, I have very tight kinky curls, and my hair tends to be very dry.

please help ladies if you can... I mainly need a good moisturizer/styling combination.

The curlformers and the tangle teezer can be purchased at Sally's.

As for the moisturizer/styling combo - Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer and the Curly Butter are my recommendation.

The twist out in my avatar was achieved using those products.

I would ask what products/ingredients have you noticed worked for you? Do butters, styling creams, or gels give you good results?

I would recommend ordering sample sizes first if a company offers them. That way if it doesn't work for you, you don't end up spending a lot of money. I agree that you should consider which ingredients work well for your hair when you are looking at products.

Check out Darcy's too. They have a great variety of butters for twisting and leave ins or spritzers. You might also want to check out Qhemet for a styler since many ladies on here with kinky hair that is drier than most have used the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream and Burdock Root Butter Cream with great success.

Good luck!

I just started buying products on line too. I agree with KC, buy sample sizes. In my avi I used Afroveda totally twisted ginger almond butter. I agree with dva with the qhemet, I loved the Burdock root butter cream. Let us know what you order.

I have heard alot of great things about Bee Mine products. Hope they work for you. A couple of things you may want to consider 1) Depending on where you are in PA, some shops, boutiques, natural hair salons, etc. carry some of the natural products we typically order online. You can contact the website or the customer service dept. at the brand you are considering. Lines in local stores like Whole Foods and Target have liberal return policies if the products don't work for you. Also, some BBS carry some Shea Moisture and Taliah Waajid

¬°bueno suerte!
