Tangle Teezer Ruin
I jumped on the tangle teezer bandwagon and now i too have split ends. I thought it was something i was doing wrong I'm still in the learning process. I've been natural for about 2 years with 4a/b hair but the longer my hair gets the more i have to figure things out. i used the tangle teezer to try to help with single strand knots but know i've created knots and splits. HELP!!! What can i do to help get my hair back to normal.

I'm started to read/hear more and more ppl talk about an increase in split ends and this coming from people will all kinds of textures.
Sounds like you may need to do a trim (or S&D) then keep your hair moisturized and in some safe styles so that you can retain length.
I learned my lesson years ago about jumping on bandwagons.

I have the tangle teezer. I've only used it twice but after Nikki's review and all the other shredded/split end stories, I'm shelving mine.

Re: Tangle Teezer Ruin
I agree, the TT does not work for everyone.
I have been a devout finger detangler since July 2010. I recently ordered the Tangle Teezer, and I can agree with how easy it is to detangle with it. I, however, am shelving it for good. After using it I saw an increase in SSK's and even a few splits (CurlyNikki recently posted about her splits too).
I have fine strands as well so this may only be an issue for people who fine strands, idk. Nevertheless, I do not know why I tried to fix something that was never broke. Finger detangling does take longer, but I do experience less breakage and I have better curl definition, and I also saw that my strands have become thicker since incorporating this into my regimen.
