4c Hair Help
Okay, I need all my REAL 4c sistahs to help me with this one!
I BC'd 3 weeks ago and I need some help. How do you get your hair to look curly w/o applying all that "gunk" to it? I see videos and the people say they are 4c's, but it is highly apparent that they are not a 4c. Or maybe I'm a 4Z!
What product(s) are good for this texture of hair to make it curly? I don't want to apply all that Eco Gel...gel activator....etc. I want SOFT hair after the product...NOT hard hair! Pleeez help me!
THANK YOU!!!

Re: 4c Hair Help
I am 4B, and I use KCCC. I also use Oyin's burnt sugar to soften and seal my hair.

Re: 4c Hair Help
I'm not a 4C but I had a lot of problems dealing with my hair in any state (wet, dry straightened) when it wasn't moisturized properly. Once I started to do baggy treatments every time my hair felt dry (which was anywhere from a day to a week) my hair started to behave a lot better and clumped together and curled more too. I don't know how to describe how my hair feels but I am now able to use my hands and oil to get the same results as brushing my hair with gel.
HTH!
I'm sorry I can't help with the products tho

I think my hair is 4c (tansitioning so can't tell). If it's not naturally curly, it's not naturally curly. *shrugs* I'm just gonna ensure that it's healthy.

@ meepmeep1101...I only posted this once, but I thank everyone that continues to give me their comments versus questioning how many times I post thisquestion.
I am VERY new to the natural club, so if I post it a thousand times then so be it. Please post comments to help me versus criticizing my post.

You didn't post this once, and I am not criticizing. I'm just saying that you never responded to your other post where there were lots of respondants. So by doing that, I was helping. I don't care how much post. I was just telling you. No need to get snappy.

Re: 4c Hair Help
I'm 4b/cnapp and no amount of product will make my hair "curly"
I have teeny individual coils but unless you're inches away from my hair, it will always look "undefined", not curly and defined like a 4a's hair would look.
It may be an issue with your texture and not a product issue

Re: 4c Hair Help
I believe i saw and replied to this topic already but maybe i'm wrong but i will say this as far as getting your hair "curly" if you don't have a curl pattern when you wet your hair more than likely no product will make it curly that's why the creams are called curl enhancing cremes and gel they are meant to enhance what you already have like someone else said as your hair get longer the curl pattern will become more apparent but if you can't see it now it' pretty much non existent , i would concentrate on growing it out and maintaining it as healthy as possible for now
