Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Exactly where can I get this on the ground? Or somewhere where the shipping isn't twice the cost of the product? Thanks!

Re: Jamaican Black Castor Oil
I think it depends on where you live. I have not found it any place in the Los Angeles Area, but I think some people in NYC have found it in beauty stores.
Re: Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Tisee, I suspect the areas where there is a very large Jamaican or Haitian population you may have better luck. You might contact the producers and ask if they have 3rd party sellers and if so, they can provide contact info. Also, if there are any true "natural" salons/stylist, you may inquire with them. In the past I googled "Black castor oil in "my city" and got results. You may try the same. You might get lucky.

Living in the Chicago area I wish I could walk into a store and buy it... I absolutely love it! I paid $16 (9.99+5.99 s&h) for it on amazon. I've been asking my local beauty supply for it for months.

You peaked my interest so I ran to go ask my hubs about this- l'huile maskreti. Turns out my MIL brought us some when my son was first born to help with colds (in a little Hennesey bottle) lol. I just went tearing up my kitchen trying to find it and its nowhere to be found-so I'm actually going to ask her to send more if she can. I'd like to know why JBCO is black also and someone indicated its a lot thicker than regular Castor Oil.

This is good to know-I had the Liquid Gold sitting in my house and didn't even know it (lol); yeah hubs said the same thing as you about the smell asking me did I smell it ( I told him no) and he said well it has a very distinctive smell. I'm sure I can deal with it though

Re: Jamaican Black Castor Oil
I heard from Tropic Isle that they will be putting the JBCO line in the beauty supply stores on the west coast in the next few months. I was so tired having to order it online and pay those high shipping fees. YEAH!!

Re: Jamaican Black Castor Oil
I read that people say with JBCO is much thinner/lighter in consistency. I believe thats only difference, and most people do not like the coating feel of castor oil.

If in the dmv area, a store in silver spring called the hair and body boutique sells it, along with all the name brand natural products. QB, donna marie, curls, uncle funkys, darcy botanicals, mj, komaza, hairveda, etc.

I was just getting ready to post this. Hair & Body Boutique is now my go to place for everything. I'm not paying shipping anymore.
