In dire need of a natural big sis..
Where do I start? Well, I'm a college student new to learning how to properly caring for my natural hair. I've been natural - without a relaxer for a few years now - but I used to do heavy coloring (professional) and (unprofessional) excessive amounts of heat. In November I decided I wanted to start taking better care of my hair and I wanted more versatility with my hair. I don't always have the option to go home and get my hair done professionally, so I wanted to learn how to care for my hair while I'm away. Also, I didn't want to become dependent on anyone to do for me.
I think I was doing well for a while, but I've had a few heat-related set backs. Now I'm on the verge of tears because I don't think I'm doing it right and I think I'm causing more of a problem for my hair. I don't know if what I'm experiencing is normal or if I should panick (I panicked anyway )
I would really like for someone to take me under their wing and show me the ropes. At this point I don't know what else to do, but I don't want to give up so easily.
Thanks.
