Online, interactive cooking classes. Would you be interested? Non-hair topic
Hello curly ladies!!
As many of you know, I am a chef and I teach nutrition and cooking lessons. I am looking to venture into providing online live streaming cooking classes. Would people be interested in this? The format would be, you can view it on your computer, iphone or ipad. I would have the list of ingredients and recipe up ahead of time. For around $15 -$20 you'd take part in a live, interactive cooking lesson from your home. We'd have a chat box where you can ask questions and I can answer during the show. You can cook along with me and there would be different time slots. Plus you can always go back and review the lesson. All the benefits of a class, a live chef, less money and you can do it in your pj's if you'd like. I'd love some feedback. I want to have it up and running in about 3 months.
Thoughts or suggestions?

Sounds Good. What about meal planning as a topic? Seasonal foods? Wine pairings?

Thanks so much everyone!! Thanks for the topic suggestions as well. I may start off with snippets on Youtube and then go to the full lessons! Please pray as I journey on this venture! My prayer is to be able to do this full time within the year. Please, please, please support when everything is up and running. My plan is to also create an iphone/ipad/blackberry app as well.
Any other suggestions are MORE than appreciated.

I would love to support you in your new venture! I write a blog and I offer advice to college students about the college admissions process and more. I would love to feature you on my and you can talk about life as a chef and/or possibly do a video of you creating an easy-to-make dish for college students. Would you be interested?

I LOVE TO COOK! Make sure you post here when you get up and running and I will be one of your first members! I think its great idea! You may want to offer a like Dinner on a Dime section for people on a really tight budget that don't wanna eat Ramen all the time (college students) or cooking for singles (I live alone and don't always want to have to modify a recipe to feed 1-2 instead of 4-6). I think money saving/shopping tips would be a plus. Also the option to order recipe cards or create your own cookbook would be a definite plus.

So funny, just read an article about how bad ramen noodles can be, especially when eaten in bulk. LOL! The tip ideas you have a great and I will incorporate them. I really like the idea of ordering recipe cards as well. I could mail them or e-mail them. A cookbook is something I'd like to do as well!

Vegetarian meals and options are a must. Many recipes I make can be made with tofu replacing the meat. I will make sure to mention that to bring in the vegetarian and/or vegan viewers.
